Looking for a Kristallkraft Move alternative? Stress-free joint support for your horse

You want to do something good for your horse and support their musculoskeletal system in the best possible way. Perhaps you have already tried products like Kristallkraft Move and are now looking for a suitable Kristallkraft Move alternative, or you have been looking for experiences because you want to know if it fits into your daily stable routine. We are taking an honest look at both products here, as they follow quite different approaches, and you decide for yourself what is right for your horse.

What is Kristallkraft Move?

First things first, to keep the comparison fair: Kristallkraft Move and nuvallo move are not just two sides of the same coin, but represent two different philosophies. Kristallkraft Move is an herb-based, natural joint supplement in pellet form (6 kg bag). According to its composition, plant-based ingredients form the core: brown millet (27%, promoted as a source of silicon), chia seeds (18%), carob meal, and rosehip (11%). In addition, there is MSM (9%), a herbal blend (3%, including turmeric, willow bark, and horsetail), and hyaluronic acid from fermentation. The maintenance dose is 2 measuring cups of 65 g daily, which is around 130 g per day, and even 195 g in the first two weeks. It is doping-free.

This is a coherent concept for anyone who is consciously looking for a plant-based, natural approach with silicon and herbs. If that is your approach, Kristallkraft Move can be a good choice. However, there are three points you should know before you decide, especially if classic joint building blocks and reliable intake are important to you.

Our experiences with Kristallkraft Move and similar pellets

If you are looking for Kristallkraft Move experiences, you are probably concerned with a very practical question: Will my horse actually eat it reliably, day in, day out? From our perspective, this is exactly where the biggest hurdle lies, and it has nothing to do with the quality of the formula, but rather with the daily stable routine.

In over 20 years with our own horses and through conversations with countless horse owners, we experience the same thing over and over again: pellets mixed into the feed quickly meet with resistance from fussy horses. Horses have a fine sense of smell and taste, and they are masters at selective eating. The tasty base feed is eaten delicately, while the pellets are left behind at the bottom of the trough. Many riders share this experience, and we hear it all the time: "It went well for the first few days, but then they wouldn't touch it anymore."

Then there is the sheer quantity. 130 g of pellets daily (and almost 200 g in the first two weeks) is a substantial portion that a horse first has to eat voluntarily. And horses that do not receive any base feed at all have no practical carrier for a pellet in the first place. The result is the same in all cases: what is left in the trough cannot work, no matter how good the ingredients are.

Point 1: Two different approaches, different active ingredients

This is the actual core of the comparison. Kristallkraft Move relies on brown millet, chia seeds, herbs, and silicon, supplemented by MSM and hyaluronic acid. What is not included there, however, are two of the classic joint building blocks: glucosamine and collagen do not appear in the composition.

nuvallo move takes a different path here and provides four study-based core building blocks in fixed amounts, including glucosamine and the structural protein collagen. When it comes to MSM, by the way, Kristallkraft Move is strongly positioned: with 9% per 130 g, it mathematically provides even more MSM than we do. So if you are specifically looking for a very high dose of MSM combined with herbs and silicon, Kristallkraft will serve you well. If, on the other hand, you value glucosamine and a high amount of collagen, you will not find it there.

Point 2: Transparency of quantities

It is worth taking a closer look at one active ingredient: hyaluronic acid is mentioned in Kristallkraft Move, but without any quantity given. So you know it is included, but not how much. With nuvallo move, the exact milligram amount per daily ration is fixed for each of the four building blocks, so you do not have to guess. (To find out why the exact amount of these active ingredients is crucial and what the research says about it, read Joint supplements for horses: do they really work?)

Point 3: The form of administration and the full dose

Kristallkraft Move is a pellet that is mixed into the base feed or given straight. This requires your horse to actually eat the entire daily portion. As described above, this is exactly the weak point with fussy horses. nuvallo move bypasses this problem by letting you feed the snacks directly from your hand. This way, your horse takes in the full daily dose, regardless of whether they receive base feed or not.

Why we founded nuvallo

We, Katja and Andrés, faced exactly this problem of feed refusal with our own horses. The idea for nuvallo was born out of a futile search for joint support that our horses would eat reliably: a functional joint snack that is simply fed straight from the hand.

One daily ration (6 snacks for a horse weighing approx. 500 kg) provides four building blocks, transparently listed in milligrams:

  • 1,500 mg glucosamine: a building block for cartilage formation that can contribute to natural shock absorption.
  • 2,550 mg collagen: the structural protein for the elasticity and stability of connective tissue and cartilage.
  • 2,250 mg MSM: organic sulphur, important for the regeneration of tendons and ligaments.
  • 150 mg hyaluronic acid: the main component of joint fluid (synovia).

These nutrients are embedded in a stomach-friendly base free from wheat and corn, made of linseed cake, rice bran, and linseed, supplemented by natural ingredients such as banana, apple, and carob powder. Because the snack is eaten whole, nothing can be sorted out. For best results, feed consistently for at least 8 to 12 weeks, although many horse owners report positive changes to us after just 4 to 6 weeks.

The conclusion is honest: Kristallkraft Move is a well-thought-out, herb-based product with a high dose of MSM and a clear focus on natural ingredients like brown millet and silicon. If this is exactly your approach and your horse eats the pellets well, it is a sensible choice. If, on the other hand, you want the classic joint building blocks glucosamine and collagen in fixed amounts, or if your horse is fussy and you need the certainty that the full dose is consumed, then nuvallo move is the stress-free alternative.

Because, in the end, the best joint supplement is not the one with the nicest ingredient list, but the one that is actually consumed by the horse in its full dose.
